Node Bio’s Presentation on Biological Crop Treatments – Investment Showcase

The Investment Showcase session on Biological Crop Treatments to Make African Agriculture more Resilient, Productive and Sustainable was delivered by John Woolsey, CEO at Node Bio, a climatetch startup that leverages plant science expertise and deep experience with the African agricultural sector to develop cutting-edge biologicals with a focus on the African market. Node Bio is working on its first product to improve tolerance to drought and extreme heat, in Kenya and Ghana.

The session featured a Q&A from a host of experts from across the ecosystem to navigate and dig in on the details of the company featuring:  Mike Mompi, Co-Founder & Managing Partner at Enza Capital, Efayomi Carr, Principal at Flourish Ventures, Maya Famodu, Founder at Ingressive and Stanley Mukasa, Associate Director of Entrepreneurship at CMU Africa.

The annual Investment Showcase is a cornerstone of Africa Tech Summit, which aims to bring together investors, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and industry leaders from across the continent, driving business and investment forward in the ecosystem.

The selected ventures showcased their innovative ideas to a diverse audience of local and international investors and tech leaders, opening doors to potential funding and strategic partnerships.
