Rachel Macauley

Rachel is an impact-first investing specialist, with regional expertise across Africa and the US. She currently serves as Principal and Africa Lead for Sourcing and Diligence at the Draper Richards Kaplan (DRK) Foundation – a global impact investing firm.

Prior to DRK, Rachel worked as Senior Program Officer with the OCP Group, a global fertilizer producer headquartered in Morocco. As an inaugural team member of the Group’s North American subsidiary in New York, Rachel led corporate partnerships with a focus on US-Africa investments in agricultural development, technology, and product innovation. Rachel has worked as a portfolio manager and strategy advisor to advance sustainable growth in Africa for organizations including John Snow, Inc, the International Growth Centre in London, and the West African Rice Company.

Originally from Liberia, Rachel is deeply committed to driving investment and support to underserved markets and founders. Rachel holds a master’s degree in Economic and Political Development from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia.
