Josie Middleton
Josie Middleton has worked in the technology sector since 2008. She has considerable experience supporting startups and scales, particularly in emerging markets.
Previous roles include program lead of ScaleX at the International Finance Corporation (IFC is the investment arm of the World Bank), where her work focused on closing the gender financing gap globally along with deal generation in the VC and PE Disruptive Technology Funds team.
Josie has extensive experience with accelerator ecosystem programs across Asia and Africa, having worked with the GSMA Mobile for Development supporting start-ups grow to scale, through a mixture of business partnership and pre-seed funding support. She has worked internationally at Accenture, Groupon, Redwood London and at multiple growth-stage start-ups with a remit including advertising, e-commerce, education, ‘last-mile’ distribution, healthcare and renewable energy. She is on the board of Co-Here, an international NGO supporting refugees.
