Chief of Staff to the CEO Paystack

Emy Makakalala is currently Chief of Staff to the CEO at Paystack, an online payments company based in Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana, and Kenya which helps merchants to collect payments from their customers.

Previously, Emy was leading the Strategy and Growth initiatives at pan-African Fintech Cellulant, where she defined in-country strategic direction for 14 markets. She started her career in Venture Capital, working for ALLVP, an early-stage fund investing in Latin American tech-based in Mexico City. Emy holds a BA in Business & Economics from ESSEC Business School in France. She is currently based out of Nairobi.
