David Gonahasa

Co-Founder, Tripesa

David is the cofounder of Tripesa, a SaaS platform helping tourism, hospitality and experiences MSMEs access technology, payments and logistics for their growth.

Through one platform, Tripesa its users, Get online, Sell online & Manage their businesses at a fraction of what it could have cost them, by building no-code websites, booking pages, accepting bookings and payments online, managing payouts and other basic operations.

David built his first tech business in 2003 Marketuganda.com, worked in Advertising and in Mobile payments as CMO for Mobicash Africa where he managed commercial growth across 7 markets in Africa. Prior to Tripesa, David worked in tourism for 8 years where he co-founded Roundbob.com a travel tech startup in Uganda.

David was named Uganda Innovation Achiever of the Year 2017 (MTN Innovation Awards), an an Alibaba eFounder Fellow and a member of The Africa List and was part of the inaugural cohort of the IE business school Social Innovators Retreat.
