Carol Koech

Carol is an energy and sustainability enthusiast who is passionate about energy access. Her journey began in rural Kenya, where she personally experienced the harsh realities of energy poverty, fueling a strong desire in her to find innovative solutions to tackle this pressing challenge head-on.

Currently, Carol holds the position of Country President for Schneider Electric in East Africa. In this role, she is responsible for driving the company’s strategy and growth vision in the region.

With a career spanning 20 years, Carol has honed her expertise working in industry leading institutions such as KPMG, Unilever, and General Electric (GE) before joining Schneider Electric in 2018. Carol holds an MBA from Strathmore university, a Bsc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Nairobi and is also an ACCA.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Carol is a passionate STEM Champion, Mentor, and a strong advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion, She is currently a member of the global advisory board  for DEI at Schneider Electric .
