Betre Gizaw

General Counsel, Paystack

Betre Gizaw is General Counsel at Paystack, an online payments company based in Lagos, Nigeria, which helps merchants to collect payments from their customers.

Previously, Betre was Regulatory Counsel at Stripe, where he advised the company on financial services regulations in North America. Prior to joining Stripe, he spent nearly a decade working at Morrison & Foerster and  King & Spalding, where he focused on serving financial services companies on a range of legal and compliance issues.

Betre holds a BA in Political Science from Northeastern University, Boston, and a Juris Doctrate from Columbia University.
