Abel Boreto
Abel Boreto is an Investment Director at Novastar Ventures, one of the first and largest VCs in Africa. Novastar Ventures backs businesses that transform markets and sectors and create financial, social and environmental value for the many, not just the few, for people and the planet – for good.
Abel leads the investment process from sourcing, due diligence, investment, portfolio support to exit. Abel serves on the boards of iProcure, Turaco, BasiGo and Poa Internet and actively participates in the local tech ecosystem.
Abel has extensive startup (strategy, operations, fundraising) and corporate finance experience from working at Bloomberg L.P., a global financial, software, data and media company in the U.S.A., and Tulaa, an agtech/fintech startup in Kenya and co-founding and running Sarora Dairies, a dairy processing and retail distribution company in Kenya.
Abel graduated with an A.B. degree in Government from Harvard University, U.S.A.
