Jason Spindler

Jason Spindler leads I-DEV’s global team, vision and strategy. Jason has nearly two decades of experience in investment banking, venture capital, business management and industry development across both developed and developing markets.

Prior to launching I-DEV International, Jason worked at Salomon Smith Barney/Citigroup in the Global Capital Markets Group and in the private equity arm of AlixPartners, a leading turnaround & restructuring firm. After banking and private equity, Jason served as a Business Development Volunteer in Peru with the Pease Corps where he built and led an agri-processing business that today is a multimillion dollar entity.

Jason has been recognized as a leader in frontier markets investment and business management. He has spoken at conferences around the globe, has lectured at leading business schools, and has advised heads of state, Fortune 500 corporations, and growth stage businesses on issues ranging from foreign investment and SME ecosystem development to growth strategy and supply chain management.

Jason is an Adjunct Professor at Middlebury College’s Graduate Program for International Studies where he teaches on deal structure, terms and valuation negotiation. He has a Juris Doctorate from New York University, with a specialization in Investment and Fund Structuring and also studied South Asian Economic Development Policy at the National University of Singapore’s International Law Program in conjunction with NYU Law. He received his B.B.A. in International Finance & his B.A. in International Development Economics from the University of Texas-Austin.
