The awards are open to all companies, organisations, and individuals operating in the African tech ecosystem. Whether you’re a startup, established company, or an individual innovator, if you’re driving technological change in Africa, you’re eligible to enter.
The admin fee for entry is $125 per submission. However, this admin fee is waived for companies under two years old who can request a discount code to enter for free. The Female Tech Innovator and Young Tech Innovator are free categories to nominate. To request your discount code, please contact us HERE
To register your interest for the ATS Awards 2026 please contact US HERE. When we open for entries, they will be submitted through our online application portal. Simply select your category in the portal, fill out the required information, and upload any supporting documents. You can submit to more than one category, but each submission will require a separate entry.
The submission window for ATS Awards 2027 will close in November 2026. Finalists will be announced in January 2027, and winners will be recognised at the Africa Tech Summit Nairobi in February 2027.
Yes, you can enter multiple categories as long as your submission fits the criteria for each one. Each category requires a separate submission and entry fee
Each entry should include a brief description of your innovation, the impact it has had, and why it stands out. Supporting materials such as case studies, presentations, and videos can also be included to enhance your submission.
All entries will be evaluated by a panel of experts based on innovation, impact, scalability, and relevance to the African market. Judges will be looking for creative solutions that address significant challenges and opportunities within Africa’s tech ecosystem.
Winners will receive two tickets to Africa Tech Summit Nairobi, a physical Africa Tech Summit Award, industry recognition, and media coverage. Additionally, winning companies will gain increased visibility, networking opportunities, and the potential to attract investors and partners.

The 2027 awards will be announced during Africa Tech Summit in Nairobi, February 11th 2027. Finalists will be notified beforehand, and winners will be celebrated at a special awards event.
