Raenest was founded in 2022 with a dream to connect global citizens in emerging economies to the world by opening up participation in global finance. The founding story is personal: CEO Victor Alade struggled to get paid while consulting from Lagos for US and UK companies, and later — leading engineering at Acumen Fund — couldn’t hire a Ugandan engineer because there was no local legal entity. Raenest is the bridge he wished existed, built alongside co-founders Richard Oyome (COO) and Sodruldeen Mustapha (CTO).
Today Raenest serves a global community of freelancers, creators and businesses with modern, borderless financial tools: multi-currency global accounts, international transfers, virtual and physical cards, invoicing, US stock investing and stablecoin (USDC/USDT) receipts — all from one app. The numbers validate the model: over $2 billion in transaction volume processed, 15 million+ transactions completed, 50+ countries served, and 99% completion rates. What began as a bridge is evolving into a gateway — a two-way exchange of value across borders. Raenest operates under serious regulatory cover: licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria as an International Money Transfer Operator, registered with FINTRAC in Canada, with US banking via Regent Bank (Member FDIC), UK services via FCA-regulated Clear Junction, and US stocks via FINRA-member Alpaca Securities in partnership with SEC Nigeria-licensed City Investment Capital.

Victor Alade
Co-Founder & CEO
Victor Alade, the CEO, and co-founder of Raenest, is a seasoned professional with a rich history in the tech industry. He launched Raenest in 2021, leveraging his extensive experience and innovative vision.
Before his role at Raenest, Victor held influential positions in renowned organizations. At Acumen Fund in the United States, Victor served as an Engineering Manager, where he led the development of Acumen Academy, a globally recognized online social impact platform. His expertise was also evident during his tenure as a Senior Software Engineer and Salesforce Screener at Andela, a prominent unicorn outsourcing company headquartered in the United States.
Additionally, Victor built a cryptocurrency payment gateway at Jostpay, enabling African businesses to accept payments through cryptocurrency. Furthermore, Victor played a pivotal role in overseeing technical integration efforts at JumiaPay (Jumia) across four different countries.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Victor has demonstrated his commitment to social impact through volunteer work, including his contribution to the development of a mobile app for one of the largest churches in Africa
