AFRICA TECH SUMMIT EVENT REGISTRATION TERMS & CONDITIONS
By registering to attend an Africa Tech Summit event, delegates agree to the following Terms & Conditions. The event is organised by Innovation Media Ltd.
Eligibility
Delegates must be at least 18 years of age and authorised to accept these Terms & Conditions when registering for the event.
Payment
All ticket payments must be made in British Pounds (GBP) unless otherwise specified during the registration process.
Full payment must be received before access to the event is granted.
Cancellations & Transfers
All ticket sales are final and non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.
However, tickets may be:
– Transferred to another delegate
– Transferred to a future Africa Tech Summit event
Transfer requests must be submitted in writing and approved by Innovation Media Ltd.
Delegates are responsible for cancelling their own travel and accommodation arrangements if they are unable to attend the event.
Event Changes or Postponement
Innovation Media Ltd reserves the right to make changes to the event programme, speakers, venue, or schedule where necessary.
If the event is postponed, delegates will be offered:
– A ticket for the rescheduled event, or
– An alternative event of similar value
If the event is cancelled entirely, Innovation Media Ltd may offer either:
– A ticket transfer to a future event, or
– A refund of the ticket price.
Innovation Media Ltd is not responsible for travel or accommodation costs incurred by delegates.
Programme and Speaker Changes
Africa Tech Summit reserves the right to modify the event programme at any time. This may include changes to speakers, session topics, schedule, format, or venue.
While we make every effort to deliver the advertised programme, speakers and sessions may be changed or cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control.
Such changes do not constitute grounds for a refund or cancellation of tickets.
Visas & Travel Authorisation
Delegates are responsible for arranging all necessary travel documents, visas, and entry permissions required to attend the event.
Innovation Media Ltd is not responsible for any costs incurred if a delegate is unable to attend due to visa or travel authorization issues.
Media, Photography & Recordings
Africa Tech Summit events may be recorded and photographed.
By attending the event, delegates grant Innovation Media Ltd and its partners the right to record and use images, audio, or video captured during the event for marketing, promotional, and documentation purposes without compensation.
If a delegate wishes to avoid being filmed or photographed, they should notify event staff in writing before the event.
Delegates acknowledge that other attendees may also take photographs or videos during the event, which are outside the control of Innovation Media Ltd.
Conference Code of Conduct
Africa Tech Summit is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and harassment-free environment for all participants.
Harassment of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes harassment based on gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, ethnicity, religion, or age.
Participants violating this policy may be removed from the event without refund at the discretion of the organisers.
Force Majeure
Innovation Media Ltd shall not be held liable for failure or delay in performing its obligations if such failure results from events beyond its reasonable control.
These may include but are not limited to:
– Natural disasters
– Acts of terrorism or war
– Government restrictions
– Disease outbreaks or pandemics
– Airline cancellations
– Strikes or labour disputes
– Venue closures or supplier failures
In such circumstances, Innovation Media Ltd reserves the right to reschedule the event or provide alternative arrangements where possible.
Privacy & Data Protection
Innovation Media Ltd processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
Delegate information is collected for the purposes of:
– Event registration and administration
– Communication regarding the event
– Event operations and logistics
Innovation Media Ltd does not sell delegate data.
Sponsors or exhibitors may collect delegate contact details only where a delegate voluntarily allows their badge to be scanned at the event or otherwise consents to share their information.

Event Networking App
Africa Tech Summit may provide an event networking application.
Participation in the networking platform is optional.
If delegates choose to use the app, their name, job title, and company name may be visible to other registered participants. Delegates may customise their profile and choose what additional information they share.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Innovation Media Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from participation in the event.
Total liability relating to the event shall not exceed the value of the ticket purchased.
Electronic Acceptance
By registering for the event or selecting “I agree” during registration, delegates acknowledge that they have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
This electronic acceptance constitutes the legal equivalent of a handwritten signature.
