Africa Tech Summit Event Registration Terms & Conditions

By registering to attend this event Delegates are entering an agreement with Innovation Media Ltd.

Eligibility
Delegates must be at least 18 years old and are authorized to accept these terms.

Payment
All payments must be made in GBP, unless otherwise stated.

Cancellations
All sales are final and tickets are non-refundable.  Tickets can be transferred to another delegate or a future event (paid for tickets only) please note that approvals of transfer must be confirmed in writing from Innovation Media Ltd.

Delegates are responsible for cancellation of travel and hotel reservations if Delegates do not attend the event.

Should the event be postponed, Innovation Media Ltd. shall provide Delegates with substitute passes for the rescheduled event.

Visas & Travel Authorization
Delegates are responsible for arranging appropriate travel authorizations to travel to, and gain entry, into the country where the event is taking place.  Delegates are responsible for all costs associated with obtaining such authorizations.

Innovation Media Ltd. will not compensate or refund the cost of the event ticket should Delegates not be able to attend the event due to lack of necessary travel authorizations.

Recordings
Delegates consent to Innovation Media Ltd. or its partners recording Delegates by any means including, electronic recording, film, videotape, audio tape and photography without compensation of any kind.  Delegates agree that Innovation Media Ltd. shall be the copyright owner of these recordings. If any delegate wishes to be removed they must do so in writing.

Delegates also understand that third parties attending the event may also capture delegates images which could be used for promotional purposes, beyond the control and or liability of Innovation Media Ltd.

Anti-Harassment Conference Code of Conduct
Our conference is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks, workshops, parties, Twitter and other online media. Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference at the discretion of the conference organisers.

Force Majeure
In any circumstances beyond the control of Innovation Media Ltd. that prevents it from carrying out its obligations, including but not limited to acts of God, war, acts of terrorism, disease or pandemic (which includes Ebola and COVID strains), virus propagation, airline flight cancellations, strikes, lock-outs, floods, and failure of third parties to deliver goods or services, Innovation Media Ltd. will be relieved of its obligations and liabilities for as long as fulfilment is prevented, or performance becomes impossible.

In light of any directive by the Government of United Kingdom or Ministry for Health banning or postponing any physical events, conferences, gatherings or international inbound travel Innovation Media Ltd. will be entitled (i) to reschedule with immediate effect or (ii) to consider a reasonable alternative premises or new date. Should the event be postponed or moved Innovation Media Ltd. shall provide Delegates with passes for the rescheduled event or offer a full refund.

Privacy and Data Protection
Innovation Media Ltd. takes the security of delegates information seriously and we take all reasonable steps to protect delegates personal information.  Delegates can read our Privacy Policy HERE

The Privacy Policy will be updated when necessary to reflect changes in products and services. Innovation Media Ltd. collects and uses information about delegates in connection with the provision of the event and for general administration.

Innovation Media Ltd. will on occasion disclose delegates details to third parties which are directly related to the event delegates are attending for the sole purposes of marketing the event.  If a delegate attends sessions, exhibition or breakouts their name, company, job title and email address may at times be shared with sponsoring companies. This applies to conference sessions, exhibition and breakout sessions.

We will never sell delegates personal data, nor disclose it to third parties outside of Africa Tech Summit.

Africa Tech Summit App

We use a networking app for Africa Tech Summit.  This is an opt-in platform that allows delegates to network with eachothers.  The Africa Tech Summit App will display delegates Name, Job Title and Company Name visible as standard. Delegates can customise profiles and share more information about business objectives if desired..

Electronic Communications and Electronic Signatures
By purchasing a ticket and/or clicking on “I agree,” “I consent,” or a similarly worded entry field delegates agree that this is consent and the legal equivalent of delegates handwritten signature.
