Ambar van der Wath

Ambar van der Wath leads Investor Relations at The Baobab Network, a leading early stage, sector agnostic investor and accelerator focused on empowering tech-enabled startups throughout the African continent.

Since investing in 2019, The Baobab Network has a portfolio of 40 startups across 14 countries and 11 different sectors, who have gone to raise more than $50M in follow-on-funding. Ambar assists portfolio founders in their fundraising endeavours, while simultaneously spearheading the cultivation, curation, and collaboration of The Baobab Network’s global co-investor community. South African born, Ambar completed her studies at the University of Cape Town before working for EY in Johannesburg, and more recently for a venture-backed start-up in London.
