Yvonne Bajela is an investment Partner at Phoenix Court. She invests across LocalGlobe and Latitude, with a focus on fintech and adjacent industries. An experienced investor and board member, she has spent over a decade in strategy consulting, deal origination, portfolio and board management across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Yvonne is also a founding member of Impact X Capital Partners, a UK-based venture capital fund, established in 2019 to support underrepresented entrepreneurs across Europe, with a mission to achieve social change through wealth creation. During her time there, she led an investment in leading insurtech player Marshmallow, which became Britain’s second Black-founded billion dollar-valued tech startup.

Prior to Impact X, Yvonne was a senior investment manager at Mitsui & Co, where she led investments in transformative companies including Wise (formerly TransferWise).

With a career that began as an analyst at Goldman Sachs in London, Yvonne has since brought her expertise to companies around the globe, living and working in countries ranging from Israel to Japan.

She currently sits on the board of Innovate Finance, set up to foster a more innovative global fintech environment, and is also a member of the London Hub of Global Shapers of the World Economic Forum, a community of young people driving change.

As a strong advocate for entrepreneurship and leadership, Yvonne has been featured in many publications including Forbes, Management Today and The Financial Times. In 2020 she was listed on the Forbes ‘30 Under 30 Europe’ Finance List, and named as one of Forbes’ 25 Leading Black British People.
