Tracey has over 25 years of experience in banking and investing across most of Africa (and other key emerging markets). Having worked for a range of financial institutions, including British Investment International, Barclays, hedge fund BlueCrest Capital LLC, numerous Arab investment banks and The Omidyar Network – she has a appreciation of challenges across the ecosystem. She leads the financial services Africa strategy for the UK’s Department for Business &Trade (Africa), leveraging the UK’s financial services and investment to support the mobilisation of capital to Africa.
You will find her between her native Cape Town and London, or in any one of the numerous African markets she covers, engaging with key investors, corporates, regulators and policy makers (amongst others) to address the pace of change and associated challenges with mobilising investment into Africa.
