Selma Ribica is an entrepreneur and an investor in fintech businesses in Africa and Europe. Recently, Selma built, scaled and sold a fintech business in London serving underbanked migrants in Europe. Previously, she was in charge of growth for M-Pesa, scaling mobile money through geographic expansion and product innovation, expanding M-Pesa to new use cases and industries: international remittances, savings, agriculture, and setting up foundations for mobile money industry interoperability.
Selma is currently a Venture Partner at AfricInvest Innovation Fund, and an Advisor for global impact investors such as KfW and Alibaba and Jack Ma Foundation, as well as an active angel investor in African and European fintech space. Selma lived and worked in 8 countries so far, speaks 6 languages and is passionate about using technology to drive economic development.
