Jessica Anuna

Founder & CEO Klasha

Jess Anuna is the Founder and CEO of Klasha, a technology company specializing in building cross-border solutions to power commerce in Africa. Klasha is based in Lagos, Nigeria and San Francisco, USA and is backed by American Express Ventures, Greycroft, Seedcamp and Plug and Play.

Jessica started Klasha to enable African consumers to access global goods and services without friction, given the scarcity of branded consumer goods in Africa. Through Klasha’s technology, global merchants can sell in Africa, and African consumers can pay for global goods and services online using African money methods and currencies.

Before founding Klasha, Jessica spent several years working in technology and e-commerce for the likes of Amazon, Net-a-Porter and Shopify. Jessica is now based in Lagos, Nigeria and heads a team of 30 people at Klasha. She was educated at Cambridge University.

Jessica has been featured in Forbes, WWD and BBC London News. She has given keynote speeches at the United Nations Headquarters in Geneva and Nairobi and the African Union Commission in Addis Ababa.

In 2019, Forbes Africa named Jessica 30 Under 30 and, separately in 2019, named her a New Wealth Creator in Africa. Management Today named her one of their “35 under 35 Ones to Watch”.
