Chuba Ezenwa

Chuba Ezenwa joined BofA in November 2022 and is responsible for the firm’s investment banking business across Sub-Saharan Africa (excluding South Africa) including mergers & acquisitions, equity and debt financings

Prior to joining BofAin 2022, he spent over 14 years at Citi within its EMEA equity capital markets and investment banking teams in London and Johannesburg respectively. In Sub-Saharan Africa he has led the 3 largest IPOs in the region in the last decade and several other landmark transactions across equity, debt and M&A. He graduated with an MEng in Engineering Science at Oxford University (Balliol College) and is a CFA Charter holder.

Selected transaction experience in Africa include IPOs/listings forVivoEnergy, Airtel Africa, Pepkor, MTN Nigeria, ASA International and IHS Towers, private placement in Interswitch, convertible bond for Helios Towers, capital raisings/equity placings in Helios Towers, Airtel Africa and Orascom Telecom. Selected transaction experience in the UK include IPOs for Calisen, Forterra, Biffa, Saga and capital raisings for Barclays, Glencore and CityFibre
