Andy Halsall
Andy Halsall is the CEO of Poa Internet, an ISP bridging the digital divide by providing affordable Internet to under-served communities in Kenya. Poa’s goal is to accelerate education, economic growth and social inclusion by connecting the hundreds of millions of Africans without Internet access.
Andy is an accomplished entrepreneur and executive with a 30 year track-record of founding and growing high growth telecoms and technology businesses.
Prior to Poa Internet, Andy was a member of the management team at Fon, the world’s largest WiFi network, where he was responsible for commercial operations with telecom operators world-wide.
Andy was previously the CEO and Founder of Palace Ventures an investment and advisory firm focussed on technology transfer into emerging markets and has held senior roles with Orange, IBM, McKinsey and a number of entrepreneurial businesses.
Andy holds a first-class honours degree in Computer Science from the University of Bradford, and an MBA from the London Business School
