Nadya Nikiforova

Nadya Nikiforova is a Communications Officer at the International Finance Corporation, the arm of the World Bank Group focused on the private sector.  She is the communications lead for the Partnership and Multilateral Engagement team, where she works on bringing partnerships to the forefront of IFC’s narrative, including shared messaging, social media and publications. 

Nadya also leads communications and outreach for several high profile events. Chief among these are the FT/IFC Transformational Business Awards, a longtime collaboration initiative with the Financial Times that showcases private sector companies whose efforts advance the Sustainable Development Goals, and the Development Finance Forum, a WBG initiative that brings together public and private sector leaders to discuss scaling up investment in core sectors of the economy.

Nadya joined IFC in 2011 and has had a variety of roles that spanned internal communications and staff engagement, branding and publications, and social media management, leading communications and campaigns for several corporate initiatives. Before joining IFC, Nadya worked in communications, outreach and marketing at Washington’s premier crisis communications agency (Dezenhall Resources), a global public health firm (Family Health International) and at the Embassy of Kuwait.  She is a native of Russia and holds a Master’s degree in Communications from the University of Maryland.
