Herbert Olowo
Herbert Olowo is the Chief Information Officer of Stanbic Bank, responsible for the development and execution of the bank’s technology strategy to deliver interventions focused on meeting the ever-evolving customer expectations.
As the chair for the ICT Committees of the Uganda Banker’s Association (UBA), he oversees the change in common governance controls, IT- security frameworks and standardization for digital transformation within the financial services sector. Herbert is a member of the CEO Apprenticeship Program Alumni Association (CAPAA) and serves on several IT-boards and associations.
Through his transformative leadership style, while previously serving in the telecom sector, Herbert is credited for the establishment of several industry “good- practices” that still guide Uganda’s telecommunications environment.”
