Haakon Brunell

Haakon Brunell Co-Founder and Managing Partner in Katapult Impact Accelerators, a global investment vehicle for startups using technology to solve environmental and societal challenges.

In only two years, they have worked with 77 companies from 29 countries that share their mission of ‘build the world you want to live in’ through Katapult Accelerator, Katapult Ocean and corporate accelerator programs. They are also a leading data and knowledge hub for impact-tech entrepreneurs globally.

Prior to founding Katapult, Haakon was an Associate Partner in McKinsey & Company.

There he spent eight years, serving large regional and multinational clients on strategic topics across Europe, Africa and Asia. While at McKinsey, he held global leadership positions within Energy, Private Equity, and Innovation/Organisation.

Aside from being an entrepreneur and an investor, he has also worked as an analyst at Norway’s sovereign wealth fund, NBIM.

Haakon holds a Master of Science majoring in Finance from Norwegian School of Economics, University of Melbourne and Fudan University in Shanghai.
