Uche Ogboi

Uche Ogboi is a Principal, Investments at EchoVC Partners–a Pan-African tech and tech-enabled stage and sector gnostic venture capital firm.  She has analysed and invested in startups across various sectors including healthcare,fintech, telecoms and agriculture. She sits on the boards of three portfolio companies and mentors several founders in the Africa tech ecosystem.  She is also deeply involved in a women’s angel investment network –Rising Tide Africa, which aims to empower women through investing and mentorship.


Prior to joining EchoVC, Uche worked at Citi for 8 years as an Investment Banker. Focusing mainly on M&A advisory and structured products, she was involved in deploying over $8billion of capital across various regions including Sub-Saharan Africa and Europe. Whilst at Citi, Uche managed the bank’s SME fund and was involved in structuring the bank’s agriculture lending initiative. Before joining Citi, Uche worked as an Accountant for 2 years.
Uche attended the University of Birmingham where she studied Accounting and Finance and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
