
Sylviah Mwaura
Sylviah is a Senior Associate in Energy Access Finance at GreenMax Capital Group, where she supports GreenShift Africa, a platform advancing electric mobility adoption and providing trade facilitation support to e-mobility and renewable energy companies across Sub-Saharan Africa.
In addition, she is part of the Green-for-Access First Loss Facility (G4A), a risk-mitigation fund that partners with local financial institutions across Africa to facilitate local-currency lending directly to consumers for the purchase of Productive Use of Energy (PUE) appliances and Electric Vehicles (EVs). Previously, she contributed to the transaction advisory team that worked with climate and renewable energy enterprises, helping them achieve investment readiness, structure bankable deals, and scale sustainably.
She brings over 15 years of experience spanning banking, credit risk management, SME finance, and sustainable energy finance. Throughout her career, Sylviah has designed and implemented business models, managed credit and operational risk, developed compliance frameworks, expanded lending portfolios, and delivered capacity-building programs on credit and risk processes across both financial institutions and impact-driven enterprises. She has a strong track record of building effective stakeholder partnerships and leading initiatives that enhance financial and operational performance.
