Robert Greenfield

Robert Greenfield is President and CEO of Emerging Impact, a Coinbase & Mercy Corps Venture-backed social enterprise that provides digital financial services through aid organizations and agro-dealers by leveraging blockchain technology.

Greenfield, a Goldman Sachs, Cisco Systems, ConsenSys, and Amazon alumni, has over 10 years of blockchain experience and has deployed some of the world’s first social sector pilots of the technology, including the first crypto-based humanitarian aid program with Oxfam International, the first blockchain-based grants management system with the World Wildlife Foundation, and the first blockchain-based worker voice platform in 2020 with the U.S. State Department, Harvard, and the Levi Strauss Foundation. He also is an Expert Panelist to the EU’s Blockchain Observatory and Forum, and serves as a Senior Blockchain Advisor to BlocPower, a Brooklyn-based climate technology company rapidly greening American cities. Robert has deployed upward of a dozen blockchain pilots and initiatives across 17 countries globally. Academically, Greenfield has authored and contributed toward dozens of articles with outlets like CoinDesk, PCMag, Forbes, and Wired. Robert received his engineering bachelors at the University of Michigan and his MBA from the Goizueta School of Business at Emory University. During his time at Emory, Robert was a MLT, Consortium, and Social Enterprise Fellow.
