Nielsimms Sangho
Nielsimms Sangho is the Regional Manager, East Africa at Flutterwave. Flutterwave is a payments technology company that enables businesses across the world to expand their operations in Africa and other emerging markets through a platform that enables cross-border transactions via one API.
Niel oversees partnerships and Flutterwave’s expansion plans for the East African region. At the heart of his operations is identifying partners within different business verticals to work with, engagement with regulatory and government bodies across countries and ultimately helping Flutterwave simplify payments for small, medium, and large businesses. Previously, he was CEO of Buy2Africa (formerly InterShip UG), a cross-border e-commerce startup he co-founded in 2015, which was the winner of the Seedstars Africa Kampala competition. An active member of the start-up ecosystem in the region, Nielsimms also offers mentorship in various technology hubs in East Africa.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and various IT professional certifications. He was also most recently selected as part of the pioneer 18 African eFounders Fellows by UNCTAD and Alibaba Group.
