Munzher Rana is a Senior Analyst at the Nairobi International Financial Centre (NIFC), where he plays a pivotal role in shaping strategy, policy, and business development to attract large pools of investment into Kenya and the wider African region. With expertise in green and sustainable finance, fintech, and international financial centre structures, he leads the NIFC’s technical efforts, fostering high-impact partnerships across the financial sector.
Munzher has been instrumental in developing investment-friendly initiatives in the sustainability & tech sectors, streamlining business processes, and aligning Kenya’s financial landscape with global best practices. He has a strong background in strategy formulation, analysis, execution, and policy development. Prior to joining the NIFC, Munzher worked at Diamond Trust Bank (DTB).
He holds an Associate designation from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) and is a Green & Sustainable Finance Professional (GSFP) certified by the Chartered Bankers Institute in the United Kingdom. Munzher is a graduate of York University, where he earned a BA with a focus in Business.
