Edward Egwalu

COO Asaak

Edward Egwalu is the Chief Operations Officer and a founding team member at Asaak who also serves on the Board of Asaak and is based in Uganda. Before assuming the COO role, Egwalu supervised and worked across the different levels at Asaak such as IT, Credit, Sales, Recovery, branch management, and operations.

He is instrumental in growing the Ugandan team from a total of 6 to 135 employees today whose revenue and profitability base is significant in the acquisition of Flex Club in Guadalajara and entry into the LatAm (MX) market in 2024.
Before joining Asaak, Egwalu worked as an IT officer, a Robotics coach, and a Consultant at different organizations such Pilgrim Africa (headquartered in Washington with key operations in Uganda), a key media house in Uganda, government colleges, and ran a private IT firm. He currently also coaches young entrepreneurs on sustainable business development and management.
