Collin Rwabahima

Collin Rwabahima is a Strategy & Innovation Special Tactician at the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) Uganda, with close to 10 years’ experience in the social security sector. Over that period, he has grown into a key contributor within the Fund’s innovation agenda.

At NSSF, Collin focuses on designing and advancing initiatives that expand social security coverage to informal communities, strengthen livelihoods at national scale through education, healthcare and financial inclusion, and create tangible value for NSSF members. He also supports ecosystem partnerships that help unlock and deliver new solutions sustainably. He specializes in turning early-stage concepts into implementation-ready opportunities by combining structured innovation methods with commercial rigor: hypothesis testing, value proposition design, business model development, and end-to-end business case packaging.

Collin’s approach is deeply hands-on. A committed DIY learner, he applies a build-test-improve mindset to a long-standing passion for automotive engineering and responsible technology adoption, with sustainability and environmental impact as non-negotiables. He has a strong foundation in marketing, computing and design; skills he uses to prototype, visualize, and communicate ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

In a past life, Collin was also a successful entrepreneur with exposure across food and beverage, entertainment, fashion, transport and logistics, as well as farming. Constant training coupled with that experience sharpened his view of what it takes to scale: customer trust, operational discipline, and business models that work in the real world.
