Caine Wanjau

CTO, Twiga Foods

Caine Wanjau is the CTO at Twiga foods, where he leads the technology function of the business in addition to overseeing fintech, design, and branding. Over the last 4 years, he has built the department to a team of more than 30 members that provide the business with software and services that have enabled the organization to transition to a tech-enabled business, and into its new phase of being a tech-driven business.

Prior to joining Twiga, Caine co-founded two companies – Flash cast, which provided live-streamed advertisements in public transport vehicles in Nairobi, and Faidika Technologies, where he provided bespoke IT, ERP, and mobile solutions to corporate and NGO clients. Prior to that Caine worked in Melbourne, Australia with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia in various banking and credit capacities. Caine graduated from Monash University in Australia with a degree in Computer Sciences and a Diploma in Engineering. Prior to his undergraduate studies, Caine spent time in Japan where he studied Japanese culture and learned to speak Japanese.
