Babafemi Adewumi

Babafemi Adewumi is an alumnus of the prestigious Mandela Washington Fellowship. He received his Leadership in Business certificate from Jackson State University in Mississippi, USA. He provides mentorship support to entrepreneurs and startups through various platforms, such as the Tony Elumelu Foundation, African Heroes, and others.

Babafemi Adewumi currently works with an Ag-FinTech startup, Crop2Cash which is a digital pathway for smallholder farmers. In his current role at Crop2Cash as the Business Development Executive, he’s responsible for managing, interacting with partners and generating leads to drive growth at Crop2Cash. In his current role at Crop2Cash as a Business Development Executive, he currently leads a team that secured over $1.5m in grants in the last twelve months and closed several B2B partnership deals as well.

He’s responsible for enabling smallholder farmers in rural Nigeria to receive digital payments and have access to agricultural input and other services while building their financial identity. Provide innovative strategies to team members in the areas of acquisitions, business support, and partner relationship support. He’s currently implementing projects with USAID, GSMA, and other partners to scale our operations. In his previous role at Wennovation Hub, he has exhibited various skillsets around team hiring, budget drafting, creating systems and optimizing current processes, and leadership skills at both local and international levels.
