Karanvir is a serial entrepreneur who has over 35 years experience in various fields including Semiconductors, Homeland Security and ICT. In 2016, Karanvir moved to Rwanda and set up Yegomoto – a revolutionary technology that uses ICFMs (Intelligent Connected Fare Meters) and an IoT Platform to bring about a transformational change to the Motorcycle Taxi industry.
Yegomoto verifies and trains drivers, offers standardized metered fares, and facilitates cashless payments. This brings about transparency, accountability, security, safety, while providing fair fares, for both, the driver and passenger. The platform also serves as a logistics layer by providing last-mile delivery, spurring the growth of mCommerce and by accelerating economic growth for individual contractors and SMEs.
