Eline Blaauboer has worked in the venture capital and private equity sector in both Europe and Africa for the last 20 years. She started her career at Gilde Investment Management, focused on investing in early stage IT companies in Europe, US and Israel. In 2006 she helped start and has been managing TBL Mirror Fund, which deployed over $25m in equity towards East African SMEs.

Eline also managed Safaricom Spark Fund, a $1m pilot corporate venture fund. Eline is co-founder and managing partner of Africa Tech Ventures, which is raising $50m to invest in scalable technology enable businesses in Africa, aiming to launch end 2019. Eline sits on the IC of FAFIN, an agribusinesses fund in Nigeria, and on the boards of Highlands Mineral Water, Software technologies, EAVCA and Vereniging Veronica. Eline holds a Master’s degree in business economics from the University of Groningen.
