CEO of Swiftly, Edem Kwame Dotse, Age 25 , graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Ghana in 2013. Shortly after, he started working at Paul Mageus Entreprise; an import,export and trading company based in Ghana.

Edem soon got first-hand insight into Freight Forwarding, he identified inefficiencies in the cargo and shipping industry and the idea of Swiftly was born. Having developed the concept and steered the Freight Forwarding disrupting company to launching in 2016, Swiftly has already achieved numerous milestones, including a coveted spot at SpeedUpAfrica and a Top 30 spot at Demo Africa. Swiftly is now backed by DraperDarkFlow, a Silicon Valley venture capitalist firm primarily backed by the legendary Tim Draper.
