Selma Ribica is Founder and Partner of Ventures01, a venture capital and advisory firm investing in early-stage digital technology companies in Africa and MENA.  She is a pioneering entrepreneur, executive, and investor as well as a widely recognised leader in strategy and management across technology-driven ventures in digitally-driven ventures. A veteran of the fintech industry, Selma founded, scaled and sold an award-winning money transfer service Lebara and was an early executive at M-Pesa, the leading mobile money service.

Previously, Selma set up AfricInvest Innovation fund and is currently an Advisor for global impact investors such as KfW, FMO and Jack Ma Foundation. Selma serves on boards of several fintech businesses in Europe, Africa and the Middle East and is passionate about using technology to drive economic development.
