Paul Coogan
With nearly 20 years’ experience in the media industry, Paul has been at the forefront of the industry’s dynamic changes. He was the Group General Manager for Family Media (national television and radio station in Kenya) for 15 years. Heavily involved in the groups expansion throughout East Africa creating niche channels like Family Junior and Church Channel.
Prior to his experience in media Paul was the General Manager of The Friendship Company – East Africa’s largest distributor of Christian music and Meridian Music representing Polygram and Warner Records. Paul continues to shape the industry landscape and has served as the vice chair of Kenya’s Media Owners Association; where he was heavily involved in shaping and ensuring industry legislation and regulations represented key stakeholders of the industry.
Paul holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Development and a Bachelor’s degree in International Business.
Although born in Ireland he has spent his entire life in Kenya.
