Jon Stever

Jon Stever is leading on the development of new methodologies to engage local communities in national and regional policy design. He developed the Innovation for Policy process, is the co-Founder and CEO of the Innovation for Policy Foundation and facilitated the co-creation of i4Policy and the Africa Innovation Policy Manifesto. Jon is also the co-Founder and Managing Director of Impact Hub Kigali, a community innovation hub in Rwanda, and founded one of the first for-profit innovation hubs in East Africa, The Office.


Jon began his career in the development non-governmental organization sector supporting the Multilateral Debt Relief Initiative and then as an ODI Fellow and Macroeconomist for the Rwandan Ministry of Finance. He combines the experience of working for governments, the private sector, civil society, and international organizations with being an artist, community builder, entrepreneur and trainer in the innovation ecosystem. Jon has advised more than a dozen Governments across Africa and serves in a number of advisory positions, such as the joint African Union Commission and European Commission’s Digital Economy Task Force.
