Daniel Gasaatura
Daniel Gasaatura is a Senior Associate at Trust Law Chambers.
Daniel holds a Master of Science degree in Finance and Law from Queen Mary University of London and obtained his Bachelor of Laws Degree from Uganda Christian University in 2013. He also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Institute of Legal Practice and Development.
Daniel started his career at Trust Law Chambers in May 2013 as a Junior and later full Associate in the Corporate & Commercial, Finance and Intellectual Property departments, before moving to MTN Rwanda Ltd in 2015 as the Senior Legal and Regulatory Officer.
As a deputy to the Company Secretary and Head of Legal/Regulatory affairs at MTN, Daniel was in charge of contract management and ensuring compliance for the biggest telecom company in the country. He gained valuable experience in regulatory and compliance oversight in Telecom, Financial services (Mobile Money) and Tax. Daniel was also responsible for contract drafting and management.
Daniel re-joined Trust Law Chambers in September 2018 on completion of his Msc. He practices Tax, Corporate and Commercial, as well as Banking & Finance Law.
Daniel is passionate about the implementation of clients’ projects and growth of client companies within the best legal structure, and to support clients by ensuring they receive all the legal help and advice that they need to grow bigger and faster.
He is a native speaker of Kinyarwanda, has excellent command of English.
