Adeleke Alex-Adedipe
Adeleke is a corporate commercial lawyer and the Partner in charge of the Technology, Media and Telecommunication (“TMT”) practice in the Lagos office of Duale, Ovia & Alex-Adedipe (“The Firm”), a fast growing full-service commercial law firm in Nigeria that provides a wide range of expert legal services to a highly diversified client base both local and international operating in various sectors of the economy.
He specialises and has depth of experience in Telecommunication, Media and Technology, Banking and Finance, Capital Market, Real Estate, Aviation law, Intellectual Property and other corporate commercial practices.
Adeleke worked with the Standard Chartered Bank Limited for a year and has subsequently worked in two top tier Nigerian law firms. During his work life in one of the top tier law firms, he was seconded to work in one of the biggest law firms in Netherlands, De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek. He has also advised elite clientele on issues relating to raising Capital & Security Underwriting as well as Hedge Funding.
Adeleke graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University and was qualified to the Nigerian Bar thereafter. He is a member of the Nigeria Bar Association and the International Bar Association. He has attended a plethora of trainings, seminars and conferences both within Nigeria and outside Nigeria in finance documentation, mergers and acquisition, telecommunications media and technology.
Adeleke has been a delegate and guest speaker at various seminars, workshops and conferences both at the national and international levels which include the TMT Finance Africa 2017 and 2018 held in London and the TMT Finance Africa 2018 in Cape Town where he chaired a panel on enterprise cloud services and datacentre growth in Africa. He is a staunch advocate of data privacy, cyber protection and technological advancement in all sectors of the economy. He advises clients on mergers, acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, equity and debt investments, and provides strategic counsel to companies and their boards.
Adeleke has advised on several landmark and award winning transactions both locally and internationally in Media and Telecommunication, Banking and Finance, Private Equity, Energy Resources and Capital Market transactions.
He was recently recognised with the 40 under 40 award for outstanding achievements in the legal industry at the ESQ Nigerian Legal Awards 2018.
